Early in 2011, the idea to start Ironclad Roofing was born and by August that year we hit the ground running. Ironclad Roofing is proud to specialise in all aspects of Metal Roofing and Cladding, from Long Run and Metal Tile Roofs, to Fascia and Spouting, Down Pipes and Parapet Capping, and pretty much everything else in between.
Both directors are Licensed Building Practitioners (LBP) with formal Trade Qualifications, and Ironclad is also a Member of the Roofing Association of NZ.
The team is a mix of experience and keen young apprentices training to become the next generation in professional “tradies”, we believe the key to our continued success. You can be assured that whether you’re building your first home or your dream castle, anyone on site will be working to our own very high standards and with trade qualifications and LBP’s certificates so you can rest easy.
If you are after a Roofing Company for anything in the Metal Roofing Industry, which will deliver on what we have outlined above, please don’t hesitate to contact our team for friendly service and a no obligation free quote. We pride ourselves on working with integrity and taking care and time to ensure the job is carried out to the highest standard, on time, and with no fuss. Our service is paramount, which is why we can proudly say we stand out from the crowd.
John Fletcher, Director
John grew up on the North Shore and started his Roofing Career at the tender age of 15. He spent the first five years as a commercial roofer in Auckland. After moving to Tauranga in 2004 he found his niche in the residential market. The high degree of workmanship that this market requires suited John’s natural attention to detail and he soon became well known for his meticulous work ethic.
When not on site it would be fair to say, to find John you will have to be looking far and wide on the big blue. His love for fishing has him out most weekends, trying to land the ‘big one’.
Nick Sneddon, Director
Nick was born and bred right here in Tauranga. After finishing school, a career in the trades seemed the obvious choice. He quickly found himself in the roofing game. As with most things in life, it was by pure chance that he ended up with John, soon becoming colleagues as well as friends. As a result of learning the trade from John, he too is very fussy on the presentation of the final product and the way in which it is delivered.
When not on site or spending time with his young family, smoke signals work best to find Nick. His love for hunting has him deep in the bush most weekends chasing deer with his mate Zharn the Wire Hair Pointer.
